OPEN CUT MINE PLANNING
Minserve members have broad operational and technical experience covering a range of mining applications and commodities including coal, copper, zinc, iron ore, uranium, nickel, gold and sand mining. UNDERGROUND MINE PLANNING
Minserve members have extensive operations, management and technical capability and experience in underground coal and metalliferous mining. This includes all facets of mining, planning, design, geomechanics, operations, safety, commercial and legal and other aspects such as shaft sinking and tunnelling.
The group has particular experience in mine ventilation and atmosphere control areas including safety and emergency evacuation. There is also experience in provision of short courses and training in many areas and in particular mine ventilation and mine evaluation economics topics. This experience has been obtained in a working environment and applied to provide clients with cost effective optimum results.
Assignments have been varied ranging from audits and reviews of existing operations, mine planning and technical advice, simulations, feasibility studies, equipment and system studies, innovative mining solutions, complex design assignments, insurance claims, business loss, due diligence and expert witness. There is considerable experience in research, development and demonstration of new concepts and approaches. Expertise is available to cover statutory requirements, health and safety, expert witness issues and accident investigations.
MINE CLOSURE AND FINANCIAL LIABILITY CALCULATION
Minserve has provided final landform planning, final regrade surface design and rehabilitation cost estimates for operating mines based on practical operational experience and consultation with mine rehabilitation experts. Minserve can also evaluate accurately the current landform rehabilitation costs for state bond payments and for the purposes of due diligence for investors.
Minserve cartographers regularly prepare 3D visualisations and 3D Prints for stakeholder engagement at the start of the environmental approvals process which can help governing bodies fully understand the long term strategies for mine closure over the life of mine. Minserve cartographers can also implement GIS mapping templates that can assist mine site environmental officers in simplifying both their plan of operations and financial liability calculation procedures.
